Who I Am & Why I Started The People’s Union
My name is John, or TheOneCalledJai on Social Media, and I am the founder of The People’s Union USA. I am not a politician. I am not a corporate backed activist. I am just a man who has lived through struggle, seen the truth, and decided to do something about it.
I was born in Flushing, Queens, New York, in 1968, growing up in the projects of Pomonok. Life was hard from the start. My family was abusive. My parents divorced when I was young, and from the age of 13, I worked just to survive. I wasn’t working for a dream, or a future, I was working just to eat, just to have some control over my life.
I spent my teenage years grinding in delis and office jobs, eventually working my way up to running a company in Manhattan. I was also a professional musician, and for years, that was my life. But even then, I knew something wasn’t right. The system wasn’t built for people like me, or for most people at all.
At 26, I left New York moving up to New England, and eventually out to the Mid West away from city life. Over the years, I ran multiple businesses, worked in management, and eventually became a professional online drum instructor for the world’s largest online drum school, Drumeo, But my lessons weren’t just about drumming, they were about life. About the mind. About breaking free from limitations.
I started meditating when I was six years old, not because someone taught me, but because I needed a way to escape the pain of my home life. And over the years, that practice deepened. Eventually, I walked away from everything else and dedicated my life to meditation, mindfulness, and guiding others. I became certified in multiple disciplines and have spent years helping people awaken to something bigger than themselves.
And that’s when it all became clear.
Everything I had felt since I was a child, that this system is rigged, that we are being used, that human beings were not born to be industrial slaves, was true. And it didn’t matter what religion, spiritual belief, or political affiliation someone had. The system is designed to keep all of us trapped.
That is why I started The People’s Union USA. Because I believe we deserve better. Because I believe it is possible to break free from a system built to exploit us. Because I know that if we stand together, we don’t just demand change, we create it.
This is just the beginning. And if you believe in something greater, then stand with me.
Thank you,
J
